This design-build project was a repeat client as LED was also responsible for Hayden Block and Cardinale. Transforming the previous Fiore Cantina — a neighbourhood staple since 1989! — into the industrial chic vibe that is Comery Block required a complete demolition and rebuild of both the interior and exterior. This project had an aggressive 12-week timeline to be open for Stampede which was met!

From the rustic exposed brick walls and unique industrial airplane hangar windows to the polished banquet seating and decorative Brass bar finishing, this space was a rewarding project to tackle. We like to think this project is a proverbial passing-of-the-torch from one restaurant to the next and, with the new makeover, it is once again a fantastic addition to Calgary’s trendy 17th Avenue.
